Indian Volunteer Continues Learning Journey on Mangrove Conservation at Lanka Mangrove Museum
Continuing her six-week educational and research journey at the Lanka Mangrove Museum and Learning Center, the young volunteer from India participated in an educational session focused on mangrove plants and their importance.
During the session, she was introduced to the unique characteristics of mangrove species, their adaptations to coastal environments, and the important ecological services provided by mangrove ecosystems. The session included discussions on mangrove diversity, conservation methods, and the role of these valuable coastal forests in protecting biodiversity and supporting coastal communities.
