Today, a group of 357 students and teachers from Hemamali Girls’ College , Kandy  visited the Lanka Mangrove Museum as part of an awareness program on mangrove conservation.

Objectives of the Program:

  • To educate students on the environmental importance of mangrove ecosystems

  • To promote awareness about biodiversity, coastal protection, and carbon storage

  • To encourage environmentally friendly attitudes and practices among youth

Program Highlights:

  • Guided tour of the museum exhibits

  • Educational sessions on mangrove species and their role in the ecosystem

  • Hands-on mangrove planting activities

  • Interactive presentations by environmental educators
