On the 29th of July 2025, the Lanka Mangrove Museum welcomed a vibrant group of 254 students and 40 teachers from Mahanuwara Gothami Balika Vidyalaya. The visiting students, ranging from grades 6 to 9, were given a unique opportunity to explore the museum's exhibits and gain a deeper understanding of Sri Lanka’s precious mangrove ecosystems.

As part of the Educating Girls for Climate Action (EGCA) project’s Colombo Showcase, participating Girl Guides explored the Lanka Mangrove Museum — deepening their understanding of biodiversity, conservation, and the power of nature-based solutions.
This immersive visit sparked conversations around community-led climate action and empowered young girls to become climate champions.

On 24th July 2025, the Lanka Mangrove Museum (LMM) hosted the field visit of the 3rd International Coastal Management Studies (ICMS) Programme with the participation of 35 individuals. The delegation included distinguished guests such as Prof. Kadiresan and his wife, Prof. Vijoynandan and his family from India, along with professors, lecturers, and students from the Open University of Sri Lanka.
