On 07 August 2026, the Lanka Mangrove Museum and Learning Center warmly welcomed a group of 21 students and three academic staff members from the Department of Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management, University College of Anuradhapura, University of Vocational Technology (UNIVOTEC). The educational field visit was organized as part of the NVQ Level 5 academic programme, providing students with an opportunity to gain practical knowledge of Sri Lanka’s unique mangrove ecosystems.

The students, representing The Netherlands, Taiwan, Japan, and Türkiye, will contribute their knowledge, enthusiasm, and cultural diversity while gaining valuable hands-on experience in mangrove ecosystem conservation.
