St. Xavier College hosts the Xavier Parisara Niyamu Sobawiru Abhisheka, an event for the awarding of environmental pioneer medals. They selected Mr. Duglas Thesera, the LMM’s museum director, as the ceremony’s chief guest. The museum director gave the keynote address in the event and offered badges to a few recognized environmental pioneers. In particular, he made an open invitation to the audience to become a member of the LMM’s Children and Youth Environmental Society, “Together with Mangroves.”
