An environmental pioneer student (who is going to achieve the Gold Medal) at St. Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa, planted Rhizophora (Maha Kadol) mangrove plants on the banks of the Dutch Canal in Chilaw Pambala Lagoon, connecting the Together with Mangroves Youth Society members of the Lanka Mangrove Museum. Together, they planted 200 Maha Kadol plants.
