Ocean University of Sri Lanka Students Visit Lanka Mangrove Museum & Learning Center
Students from the Ocean University of Sri Lanka visited the Lanka Mangrove Museum & Learning Center on 15 June 2026 as part of an educational field study. The group was accompanied by Professor Roshan Perera.
During their visit, the students explored the museum exhibits and gained valuable knowledge about mangrove ecosystems, coastal biodiversity, and the importance of mangrove conservation in Sri Lanka. The educational session provided insights into the ecological, economic, and social benefits of mangroves, as well as current conservation initiatives being carried out in the Pambala Lagoon area.
The Lanka Mangrove Museum & Learning Center was pleased to welcome the students and academic staff from Ocean University of Sri Lanka and looks forward to continued collaboration in promoting environmental education and mangrove conservation.
