Microplastic in Pambala Lagoon: Research by Ocean University

On March 19, 2025, a group of Ocean University students visited Pambala Lagoon as part of their research project on microplastic pollution. The Lanka Mangrove Museum facilitated their study.

During their visit, the students conducted field sampling and water quality analysis to assess the presence of microplastics in the lagoon ecosystem.
