🌿 Mangrove tree planting initiative in Ammathottam village, Kalpitiya Lagoon, where volunteers from  “Together With Mangroves” 20 children, 58 children from Kandakuliya, local women, and male Devas work together to restore vital coastal ecosystems 🌿

We are excited to announce the mangrove tree planting initiative taking place in Ammathottam village, located within the beautiful Kalpitiya Lagoon. This collaborative effort involves a diverse partnership committed to enhancing the local environment and promoting sustainability.

Participants:

  1. Ammatottam Children: A dedicated group of 20 children from Ammathottam are actively participating in the planting efforts, learning about the importance of mangroves for their community.
  2. Kandakuliya Children: The initiative is supported by 58 children from nearby Kandakuliya, who are eager to contribute to the preservation of our coastal ecosystems.
  3. Ammatottam participents: 20 women from Ammathottam are involved, bringing their knowledge and experience to the project, emphasizing the role of women in environmental conservation.
  4. Ammatottam Fishing community: A group of fishermen from Ammathottam also participates, highlighting the community’s commitment to protecting their natural resources.
