Day 2 "We will be pioneers of conservation of mangrove ecosystem of the future generation"
Day 02 of the Dutch Canal restoration project marks an important milestone in the ongoing efforts to preserve this vital historical and ecological resource. The project focuses on revitalizing the canal, addressing environmental challenges, and ensuring the sustainable management of water resources. On this day, significant progress was made in improving the structural integrity of the canal, while efforts to prevent further erosion and pollution were prioritized. As the project advances, it continues to combine modern conservation techniques with respect for the canal’s rich heritage, aiming to safeguard its value for future generations and promote biodiversity in the surrounding areas
🌿 Day 2 of “Together With Mangroves” 🌿
The Children and Youth Environmental Society of Lanka Mangrove Museum continued its mission to protect and restore our precious coastlines! Today, we planted 614 Maha Kadol mangrove seedlings along the Dutch channel area, bringing us closer to safeguarding the land strip from erosion.
Together, we’re not just planting trees—we’re planting a sustainable future. 🌱💚
