Sri Lanka’s youth climate ambassadors consist of young leaders from across the country. They visited the Lanka Mangrove Museum as part of their Youth Climate Ambassadors Workshop. In addition to an informative presentation, educational videos about mangroves were shown as part of the museum’s interactive session. They learned about the mangrove species, their adaptations, and more facts about these important ecosystems. Their next step included participating in a mangrove planting program in Kalpitiya and receiving advice from the director of the Lanka Mangrove Museum regarding how to plant mangroves.
