The museum conducted an awareness program for these environmental pioneers leading school teachers to upgrade their environmental education and conservation practices. The CEA Puttalam branch office organized this program, and they chose the Lanka Mangrove Museum as the ideal location. Therefore, the museum supported the program and made the teachers aware of the role of the Museum in Mangrove Conservation.
