Youth Leadership in Mangrove Conservation – Presidential Award Activities

As part of the activities carried out to achieve the Presidential Award for the Junior Achievement Program, a student from Maliyadeva College participated in several environmental conservation initiatives together with the children of the “Together With Mangroves” Children’s Society at the Lanka Mangrove Museum and Learning Center. 🌿

The activities included:

  1. Gaining awareness and knowledge about mangrove ecosystems and their importance.
  2. Participating in a mangrove environmental clean-up program.
  3. Planting 150 mangrove saplings to support mangrove conservation and ecosystem restoration. 🌱

These activities helped promote environmental responsibility, teamwork, and awareness about the importance of protecting mangrove ecosystems for future generations. 💚
