Environmental Pioneers from Ananda National College, Chilaw visited the Lanka Mangrove Museum and Learning Center

A group of Environmental Pioneers from Ananda National College, Chilaw visited the Lanka Mangrove Museum and Learning Center to gather information about the mangrove ecosystem. Their visit was part of their preparation to achieve the Environmental Pilot Silver Medal (commonly referred to as the Rajatha Medal) at school.

During the program, the students explored the museum exhibits, observed educational displays, and gained valuable insights into the importance of mangrove ecosystems. The Educational Officer explained in detail how mangroves contribute to biodiversity, coastal protection, and climate resilience.

This visit not only supported their journey toward the Rajatha Medal but also inspired them to become active advocates for environmental conservation. The museum continues to serve as a hub for knowledge and awareness, guiding the younger generation in safeguarding our natural resources.
