MSc students in Environmental Science from The Open University of Sri Lanka visited the Lanka Mangrove Museum, accompanied by Dr. D.D. Gihan Dahanayake, a lecturer from the Department of Zoology at the university.

During their visit, the students explored the museum’s interactive exhibits and gained valuable insights into the ecological importance of mangroves. They learned about mangrove biodiversity, conservation challenges, and the role these vital ecosystems play in protecting coastlines and supporting marine life.

The session fostered engaging discussions on sustainable environmental management and inspired the students to apply their knowledge toward real-world conservation efforts.
