Together With Mangroves - Youth Environmental Society: Exploring, Learning, and Protecting Nature

On November 2, 2024, together with Youth Environmental Society members from the Together With Mangroves initiative engaged in another impactful day dedicated to environmental care and education. With 17 enthusiastic participants, they took their conservation efforts beyond the nursery and into the beautiful Pambala Lagoon, where they conducted research activities focused on the local mangrove ecosystem.

In the morning, the group continued their hands-on work by nurturing the young mangrove trees in the nursery. Their efforts, from tending to the plants to cleaning the surrounding area, contribute directly to the protection and growth of these vital ecosystems.

Later in the day, the participants gathered by the lagoon to conduct research activities, observing the ecological importance of mangrove trees in their natural habitat. They were joined by the Museum Director and the Museum Education Officer, who provided valuable insights and support throughout the day.

In the afternoon, the group attended their scheduled English class, which helps them strengthen language skills essential for sharing their environmental message with a wider audience.

The commitment and passion shown by these young individuals are inspiring, as they dedicate themselves to both learning and actively protecting the environment. Stay tuned for more updates from this wonderful group as they continue making strides toward a greener, more sustainable future!
