Zoom Session -2 by the Scientific Committee of the museum in lined with World Mangrove Day Celebration
The guest lecture entitled as “The ability of Mangroves to control the Negative impact of Climate Change” was conducted by Dr. Roshan Perera instead of Prof. Mala Amarasinghe due to disconnection during her vacation. Dr. Roshan is a Director and a Scientific Committee member of the museum and the Senior lecturer at Open University Sri Lanka. Others as Dr, Manoj Prasanna (Works at Ministry of Environment, Sri Lanka), and W.N. Duglas Thesera for the academic discussion. The museum’s target audience was the teacher training students and their lecturers of Hapitigama National College of Education and the teacher training students and their lecturers of Bingiriya National College of Education. Although the teacher training students and their lecturers of Bingiriya National College of Education were not able to connect with the session, the undergraduates of Ocean University and Open University participated to the session.
